their single engine plane
crashed
at around 6pm Friday.

JOHNS
- Carlton David Johns, 66 of St. Cloud, Fl. passed away
on Friday September 16th in a small airplane crash doing what he loved
most accompanied by his best friend Charlie Mack. He was born in River
Junction, Fl. and grew up in Jacksonville, Fl.
After serving 4 years in the Air Force, he moved to Hialeah, Fl., where he
met and married the former Eva Ruth Hart. He went to work for Eastman
Kodak Co. and retired in 1992 after 25 years of service.
He loved flying and was an experienced pilot for 33 years. He started the
Osceola Airboat Assoc. in 1993. He always stayed active and involved with
friends and was always there for anyone who needed him.
He was a devoted husband for 43 years to Eva and the loving father of 2
sons, Tim of Archer, Fl. and Randy of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In addition to
his wife and 2 sons, he is also survived by a grandson Gavin Tyler a
step-granddaughter, Crystal Davis, 5 brothers, 3 sisters,aunts, uncles,
and several nieces, nephews and great nephews. He will be greatly missed
by all of his family and friends who were lucky enough to know him.
A celebration of his life was conducted Saturday, September 24th at
Eastern Avenue Baptist Church in St. Cloud. Pastor Billy Rigsby of
Eastern Ave. Baptist Church officiating with Pastor Leonard Thompson of
Heartcry Chapel of St. Cloud.

MACK
- Charlie Mack, 41 of St. Cloud passed away on Friday
September 16, 2005 in a small airplane accident with his best friend
Carlton Johns at his side. Mr. Mack was the owner of Mack Construction
Company in St. Cloud. He was a native of Osceola County.
Charlie was an avid flyer and loved to hunt and fish. He was a graduate of
Osceola High School, a longtime member of the Osceola Air Boat Assoc,
KVLS and the NRA. He was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves his loving family, wife of 21 years Lisa, sons, Charles Edward
Mack, Cody Braxton Mack, mother, Patty Mack-McGinnis all of St.
Cloud, grandchildren, Jessica Welch and Justin Welch both of Perry, Fl.,
brothers, Raymond Warren Mack of Crossville, AL., Thomas Edward
Mack of Narcoossee, Fl. to cherish his memory.
A celebration of his life was conducted Saturday, September 24th, at
